The online course provides concrete tips and advice on how the work environment in the commercial sector and retail can be improved and is divided into a basic course and optional deep dives.
In the basic course, you’ll learn what a good work environment is and how you can contribute to creating one in your workplace. You’ll also learn what can happen if the work environment isn’t functioning properly and what you can do in that case.
In the optional deep dives, you’ll learn more about different areas linked to the work environment in retail. Talk to your manager and choose those relevant to you.
Included in the course is a guide to working with the course in groups at the workplace or during training sessions.
Course objectives
The course is aimed at everyone working in the commercial sector and provides concrete information, tips and advice on how the work environment can be improved.
Among other things, the online course will teach you about:
- what you yourself can contribute to achieve a better work environment
- various factors at work that affect well-being, cooperation, communication and engagement
- various factors at work that affect work postures, working techniques and work movements
- how you should work to stay fit and healthy
- what you can do when something serious happens
- how the premises can affect the work environment
- roles and rules.

Scope
The course consists of a basic module that everyone must complete, a test and a number of optional deep dives. The basic module contains ten chapters, takes about two hours to complete and is followed by a test. You can then easily select the deep dives relevant to the work that you do. Once you have passed the test, you will receive a course certificate that you can download and share. You can take a break or return to an earlier section to repeat something at any time.
The course has been developed in collaboration between the Swedish Retail and Wholesale Council and Prevent.
